Trelawney Fish was established by Godfrey Adams in 1982.
The business started on the market before moving several times, eventually relocating to its current premises on the Strand, just a short walk from Newlyn Harbour and Fish Market which is the main source of the business.
Since its founding, the company has grown from a small local supplier into a well-respected name in the seafood industry. Through decades of dedication and expertise, Trelawney Fish has built a reputation for quality and reliability, attracting a loyal customer base and nurturing longstanding relationships with local fishermen.
The company has strong ties to the historic Newlyn Fishing port and we are proud to support the market and offer our customers the finest seafood that this historic port has to offer.
Our proximity to the bustling harbour ensures a steady supply of the freshest catches, which are carefully selected and handled by an experienced team. Over the years Trelawney has exported regularly all over Europe, predominantly France and Spain.

This move allowed us to expand our operations, establishing both our retail shop and a state-of-the-art processing facility. Today, we're proud to be a family-run business, with generations of expertise guiding our work. Our team expertly handles and prepares a wide variety of species, from the humble sardine to the prized monkfish, always with the same care and attention to detail.
